pm | Do Amish people pay taxes? (12th Mar 25 at 11:41am UTC) | | do amish people pay taxes, Amish people pay several types of taxes, A: yes. Just like other citizens they are perhaps responsible for property taxes and for income taxes and sales taxes. But since they don’t participate in Social Security or Medicare, they are exempt from Social Security and Medicare taxes. The Amish have their own form of community support including financial and health supports themselves. You could call some Amish the ‘hidden’ tax payers, but they do collectively bring in big bucks with their money from which schools, roads, other infrastructure are supported.
